It was a disappointing outing for our Wonga Park 2XI, who were denied by Croydon Ranges 2XI on a day that didn't go our way.
With the bat first up, we compiled 116 from 32 overs. Leading the way was Blake Kear with 39 off 62 balls. Croydon Ranges 2XI's best with the ball was Nicholas Schulties (three for 20). Daniel Woodrow picked up three for 25 for the visitors.
Our opponents reached the target at 4/118 in 22.4 overs. Michael Hendley held the visitors' innings together with 43. Mathew Peisley chipped in with 39 for our opponents. Ethan Stone led the way with the ball, finishing with three for 44.
There are plenty of positives to take out of this one. That's two losses in a row, but the side will keep working hard.
Chins up, everyone.
