Our Wonga Park 2XI side were unable to get the better of Templeton 2XI at Templestowe Reserve - Oval #2 on Saturday.

We batted first and finished with 9/73 on the board from 40 overs. Jake Guerin led the way with 29. David Simcock was the best of Templeton 2XI's bowlers, finishing with four for 11.

In reply, our opponents passed our total, finishing on 2/74 in 14 overs. The best of the visitors' batters was Nick Ascenzo with 25. Lachlan McBain led the way with the ball, finishing with two for 17.

Not our day, but there's plenty to work with.

Well played to our opponents.
