Our Wonga Park 3XI were in fine form and registered a win over Hoddles Creek 1XI at Hoddles Creek Community Reserve on Saturday.
Hoddles Creek 1XI finished on 10/222, and we finished on 5/297. William Hartley brought up a polished half-century, finishing with 95 off 84 balls. Steven Edmonds passed fifty on the way to 54 off 61 balls with ten fours. Private player was the best of the hosts' bowlers, finishing with three for 40.
Simon McLachlan made a polished 53 for our opponents, a well-deserved half-century. There were 33 from Thomas McLachlan for the hosts. The wickets were shared around, with Hartley taking three for 38.
Contributions came from right through the line-up.
The win makes it four in a row. Revenge, of sorts: our opponents had won our previous meeting this season. Congratulations to the group on a great result.
