It was a tough day out for our Wonga Park 5XI, who fell short against St Andrews 6XI on a day that didn't go our way.
First up, we made 4/171 from 36 overs. A classy 53 off 83 balls from Richard Gates was the highlight. Tim George added a useful 39 off 45 balls.
St Andrews 6XI reached the target at 6/173 in 34.2 overs. Dwayne Paisley led the way for our opponents with 39 off 36 balls. Matthew Gates was the pick of our bowlers with two for 18. Michael Larder finished with two for 24.
Plenty to take out of this one.
That's two losses in a row, but the team will keep working hard. Thanks to the hosts for the contest.
