Our Wonga Park 3XI had to settle for a loss as they fell to Hoddles Creek 1XI in a disappointing result.
Our innings: 10/201. Hoddles Creek 1XI's: 8/355. Mason Agnew top-scored, making 42 off 39 balls. Bailey Mullens weighed in with 31 off 93 balls. The visitors' Kai Harrison was the standout with the ball, taking five for 55. Bradley Cole-Sinclair picked up three for 37 for our opponents.
Hunter Weeks claimed a superb five-wicket haul, finishing with five for 46. The visitors' Simon McLachlan made a polished 137. Cole-Sinclair made a fine 93 for our opponents, a well-deserved half-century.
There are plenty of positives to take out of this one. The results haven't gone our way lately, but the group will keep at it.
Chins up, everyone.
