Our Wonga Park 5XI side prevailed over Warrandyte 6XI on Saturday.
Our totals were 7/327, against Warrandyte 6XI's 7/325. A century to Matthew Gates, who made 119 off 197 balls with thirteen fours. Lucas Kent passed fifty on the way to 57 off 66 balls with eight fours and two sixes. There were also handy runs from Wayne Hartley (44).
Christopher Kent was the pick of our bowlers with three for 70. Credit to Max Gidley, who made a half-century (81) for the hosts.
A well-deserved win for the group. That makes it two wins in a row. Thanks to our opponents for the contest.
