At Powelltown Reserve, our Wonga Park 4XI were unable to stop Powelltown 1XI in RDCA Seniors Cricket action.

After batting first, we finished on 9/149 from 36 overs. Leading the way was Craig Ballingall with 30. Steven Sanders was the main threat for Powelltown 1XI, taking three for 13. Stuart Thompson added three for 25 for our opponents.

In reply, the hosts passed our total, finishing on 5/152 in 15 overs. Tyson Walker passed fifty for our opponents, finishing with 53. Jacob Neale made 35 for the hosts. Dean Atkinson bowled nicely to finish with two for 6.

It's two defeats on the trot, and the team will be eager to bounce back.

Plenty to work on, and plenty to like.
