It was one to learn from for our Wonga Park 1XI, who were bested by Kilsyth 1XI away from home.
With the bat first up, we compiled 5/219 from 40 overs. Fifty for Benjamin Mathews, who finished with 75 not out off 56 balls. Ben Thompson made 41 off 71 balls.
Kilsyth 1XI knocked off the runs, finishing on 4/221 in 35.5 overs. Credit to Andy Solomons, who made a half-century (84) for our opponents. Mark UNTERNAHRER helped the hosts with 35. Joshua White picked up two for 52 off eight overs.
We'll take the lessons from this one and go again. Back to the nets, and on to the next one.
