Our Wonga Park 1st XI had plenty to celebrate after they came out on top against Warrandyte Womens 1st XI by 12 runs.

Batting first, we posted 5/136 from 30 overs. Jaz Hood top-scored, making 39 off 59 balls. Shannon Simpson made 39 off 40 balls.

In reply, Warrandyte Womens 1st XI finished on 124 from 28.3 overs. Shania John was the main threat for our opponents, making 33. Alyse Dines picked up two for 9 off three overs.

It was a cracking all-round effort, with contributions from right through the line-up.

Congratulations to all involved.
