There was no joy for our Wonga Park 4XI, who had to give best to Mooroolbark 3XI with lessons to take away.
Batting first, Mooroolbark 3XI posted 10/245 from 36 overs. Credit to Adam Houghton, who made a half-century (64) for the visitors. Five wickets for Craig Meadows, who returned five for 27 off six overs.
In reply, the group were all out for 224 in 35 overs. Fifty for Justin White, who finished with 70. Ryan Atkinson chipped in with 39. Craig Ballingall made 35. Tyler Dahan was the pick of our opponents' bowlers with three for 20.
There were some polished individual efforts to build on. It's four defeats on the trot, and the side will be eager to bounce back.
The group will be keen to bounce back.
