It was a cracking day for our Wonga Park 5XI, who proved too strong for Montrose 5XI at home.

The final scores were Wonga Park 5XI 4/201, Montrose 5XI 10/187. Fifty for Garry Mangnall, who made 59 for our opponents. Steven Edmonds bowled well for a five-wicket haul, five for 21 off seven overs. Christopher Kent weighed in with three for 16 off 4.3 overs.

Adam Atkinson brought up a fine half-century, finishing with 60. Matthew Gates posted a half-century, making 57.

Contributions came from right through the line-up.

The first win of the season is in the bank. A great effort from the group.
