Our Wonga Park 3XI side chalked up a victory over St Andrews 3XI at Oval #2, winning by four wickets.
St Andrews 3XI's innings closed at 8/245 from 40 overs. Hats off to Matt Sutherland, whose 134 was a stylish century for the visitors. The wickets were shared around, with Michael Semken taking three for 34. Steve Paterson bowled impressively for two for 52.
In reply, the group reached the target at 6/246 in 34.1 overs. Ryan Atkinson's 50 was a half-century to remember. Solid support came from Semken, who made 42.
Big runs from our top order made the difference. A brilliant response after our opponents had the better of us in our last meeting. Congratulations to the side on a terrific result.
