Our Wonga Park 2XI had to settle for a loss as they went under to Templeton 2XI on Saturday at Templeton Reserve.
With the bat first up, we compiled 9/115 from 40 overs. Lachlan McBain top-scored, making 25 off 51 balls. Ben Pietz returned three for 12 for Templeton 2XI. Josh Taylor added three for 22 for the hosts.
In reply, our opponents passed our total, finishing on 1/117 in 25.3 overs. Cadyn Gottliebsen made a classy 56 not out for the hosts, a well-deserved half-century.
Back to the nets, and on to the next one.
