In RDCA Seniors Cricket, our Wonga Park 7XI took the honours against Bayswater Park 4XI away from home.
With the bat first up, we compiled 6/203 from 36 overs. Harry Prewett posted a half-century, making 50 off 75 balls. Geoff Smith also got among the runs with 31 off 27 balls. Marcus Clohesy returned three for 35 for Bayswater Park 4XI.
Chasing 204, the hosts reached 6/195 from 36 overs. Timothy Court passed fifty for our opponents, finishing with 52. Nicholas Brooke added 40 for the hosts. With the ball, Hudson Smith did the damage, claiming two for 19 off six overs.
It was a terrific all-round effort, with contributions from right through the line-up.
We've now overcome seven sides in a row. It was a good way to turn the tables on our opponents, who beat us last time we met. Congratulations to all involved.
