Our Wonga Park 6XI were on song as they defeated Lusatia Park 3XI on Saturday at Wickhams Road Reserve.
Lusatia Park 3XI made 10/221, and we made 1/223. Darren Hawley was the star with the bat, compiling a terrific 139 not out off 129 balls with twelve fours and four sixes. Wayne Hartley passed fifty on the way to 62 off 116 balls with seven fours.
Patrick Thompson was the hero with the ball, claiming a five-wicket haul (five for 34). The hosts' best was a half-century from Stuart Parker, who made 99 not out. Daniel Madsen posted 56 for our opponents, a quality fifty.
Big runs from our top order made the difference. That makes it two wins in a row.
Well done, team.
