It was a day to forget for our Wonga Park 6XI, who came off second best against Croydon North 3XI away from home on Saturday.
First up, Croydon North 3XI made 5/251 from 36 overs. Dave Trueman posted 52 for the hosts, a stylish fifty.
Chasing 252, we reached 9/109 from 36 overs. Wayne Hartley led the way with 33 off 48 balls with four fours. Al Murray did the damage for our opponents with four for 28.
There are plenty of positives to take out of this one.
Thanks to the hosts for the contest.
