Our Wonga Park 6XI came unstuck as they were unable to stop Boronia Hawks 4XI in RDCA Seniors Cricket action.
We batted first and finished with 4/154 on the board from 36 overs. A classy 50 off 71 balls from Ash Parker was the highlight. Benjamin Weston bowled well for Boronia Hawks 4XI, taking three for 22.
In reply, our opponents passed our total, finishing on 7/155 in 33 overs. Credit to Mark Harris, who made a half-century (61) for the hosts. The wickets were shared around, with Patrick Thompson taking two for 9. Paul Doevelaar also took two for 35.
There were some polished individual efforts to build on. We will be looking to get back in the winning column soon. The group will be keen to bounce back.
