On Saturday at Oval 1 - East, our Wonga Park 5XI notched a win over Yarra Glen 2XI to collect a well-earned win.
Yarra Glen 2XI's innings closed at 9/192 from 36 overs. For the visitors, Lucas Burke made 41. Richard Gates was the pick of our bowlers with two for 17. Bailey Chandler weighed in with two for 22 off four overs.
In reply, the side reached the target at 3/195 in 33.3 overs. Fifty for Adam Atkinson, who finished with 97.
Our bowlers shared the wickets around.
Revenge, of sorts: our opponents had won our previous meeting this season. Well played, all.
