It was a day to regroup for our Wonga Park 5XI, who were bested by Heatherdale 4XI in a tough outing.
Heatherdale 4XI's innings ended at 10/329, ours at 10/196. A classy 73 off 122 balls from Lucas Kent was the highlight. Michael Patel returned three for 21 for our opponents.
Garry Harwood returned figures of two for 19 off seven overs. Credit to Kristan Height, who made a half-century (72) for the visitors.
There were some quality individual efforts to build on. It's six defeats on the trot, and the group will be eager to bounce back.
Back to the nets, and on to the next one.
