On Saturday at Simpsons Park, our Wonga Park 4XI fell short against Heatherdale 3XI away from home.
With the bat first up, we compiled 4/166 from 36 overs. Anthony Crowe posted a half-century, making 59 off 47 balls with nine fours and two sixes. Ryan Atkinson passed fifty on the way to 51 off 75 balls with eight fours and one six.
In reply, Heatherdale 3XI passed our total, finishing on 3/168 in 33.4 overs. Fifty for Nicholas Dore, who made 77 not out for the hosts. Craig Ballingall was the pick of the bowlers, taking two for 17 off seven overs.
Plenty to take out of this one.
A tough stretch, and one the team will be determined to end. Well played to our opponents.
