It was a day to regroup for our Wonga Park 2XI, who were second best against South Warrandyte 2XI on a frustrating day.
Our innings closed at 5/219 from 40 overs. Daniel Keane made a superb 85 off 79 balls, a well-made fifty. Ryan Atkinson weighed in with 42 off 91 balls.
In reply, South Warrandyte 2XI passed our total, finishing on 4/220 in 38.5 overs. Liam Watts passed fifty for our opponents, finishing with 76 not out. Morgan Persson-Clark made a useful 40 for the visitors.
There were some stylish individual efforts to build on.
The team will be keen to bounce back.
