It just wasn't our day: our Wonga Park 2XI were downed by Lilydale 2XI on a day to learn from.
With the bat first up, we compiled 7/139 from 40 overs. Leading the way was Brody Adams with 41. There were also handy runs from William Edmonds (24).
Lilydale 2XI reached the target at 3/140 in 37.4 overs. Our opponents' best was a half-century from Kalen Tahirovski, who made 52 not out. Ronen Erulkar added a handy 34 for the visitors.
Plenty to take out of this one.
Plenty to work on, and plenty to like.
