It was a disappointing outing for our Wonga Park 2XI, who were bettered by Kilsyth 2XI on a day to learn from.
Kilsyth 2XI's innings closed at 6/196 from 40 overs. Rhys Kearney held the visitors' innings together with 39. Lachlan Reynolds was the pick of our bowlers with two for 20.
Our chase ended at 103 from 30.5 overs. Jake Guerin was unbeaten on 29. Justin Smith claimed four for 13 for our opponents. Kyan Harper picked up three for 23 for the visitors.
A tough stretch, and one the side will be determined to end.
The group will be keen to bounce back.
